How I’m Writing Goals for 2021
After we all burned our planners and goal trackers in March 2020, I imagine resolutions seem tough this year. I don’t want to head into the new year without a goal oriented mindset but I also now know how unpredictable life can be.
Here’s a format that will give you the freedom to dream big without the stereotypical “I wanna be healthier, lose weight and be happy” lines we’ve all seen far too much.
2021 Goal Writing Format
Take your TOP 5 goals for yourself as a person.
- Physical Health
- Mental Health
- Orderliness
- Habits
- Money Management
Write down 3 Personal Values that are ranked high for you.
Apply these valuable principles to each of your goals above.
Example
- I want to be more proactive.
- I want to be more Proactive in my Business’ Paperwork
- I want to be more Proactive in my Business Paperwork because it will help ease up my anxiety, and give me more free time for creativity.
Conclusion
See how I slowly expanded on an otherwise vague goal. I added a specific category of improvement, then extended onto my why of importance. This will add a level of success to your dreams because they now have personal value beyond numbers and 30 day challenge style mentalities.
Enjoy the opening of a new year.
